How Intermittent Fasting Helped Me As A Busy Mom – Benefits Nobody Talks About.

Are you curious about intermittent fasting and how it can help a busy mom?

Like, how in the world does timed eating benefit the busy mom?

#1: It saves you time!

It is a great timesaver to get your mind off food and maybe on something else that you need to do.

You don’t have to worry about three squares (meals) with snacks in the middle.

Now, granted a lot of that time is going to be devoted to feeding your kids; but for yourself, it’s kind of nice. It relieves that pressure of eating and you having that specific window that you eat.

#2: It tunes you back in with your body.

When you’re not focused on 3 meals a day, you’re going to start to be able to realize what boredom hunger is versus what real hunger is.

When you are in your fasting window, yeah, you’re going to probably experience some hunger and that’s okay because what you’ll notice is, as you begin to push through those hunger pains, you’ll notice that wasn’t real hungry.

That’s when you’re going to start to really realize and get back into your body.

 Oh, I was bored or oh this is just timing because my body has been on a schedule like this for the last umpteen years.

You’re going to start tuning back into what hunger is versus what boredom or habit is.

#3: It saves you money!!

So you are going to realize when you don’t eat for 19 or 16 hours a day that it saves you a lot of money because you aren’t eating!

My husband does it with me too and the amount of money we have saved because we do intermittent fasting is like this little shiny benefit that nobody ever thinks of or talks about.

Every dollar counts in a household as we all know and intermittent fasting saves a family’s money!  especially if your husband does it with you because they can eat a lot!

#4 Brain Sharpens

The next benefit is another underrated, under-talked-about, benefit of intermittent fasting and it is so essential to a busy mom.

When you start intermittent fasting and you are in your fasting window, and you start getting through all of that liver glucose, you start becoming…

– I’m going to say it –

A fat burner versus a sugar burner – your brain starts to sharpen.

It is running off good fuel.

Speaking from my experience, and I am fasting right now; I am on the go… like I feel gooooood right now.

When you start intermittent fasting, and you are in your fasting window your brain is on fire!

It becomes sharper and sharper the longer you keep this lifestyle in your wheelhouse.

I notice when I become loose-goosey maybe over the holidays or over the weekend or I’m camping or whatever….

Which you should, you should allow yourself to not be so restrictive. There’s no better way to quit than being restrictive.

But when I’m not practicing it for the day, I am not as sharp throughout that day. BUT you know I had a nice meal with my friends and my family so it was totally worth it.

You will notice that your mind sharpens as you are in your fasting window, you can get so much more done!

Think of all the loads of laundry you can get done with motivation with excitement!
